AXPC is a national trade association representing 32 of America's premier independent natural gas and oil exploration and production companies.
The operations of our members are limited to the exploration for and production of natural gas and oil. Our members are independent in that they operate autonomously unlike their fully integrated counterparts which also operate in additional segments of the energy business such as downstream refining and marketing.
The Mission of AXPC is to constuctively and thoughtfully work for sound energy, environmental; and related domestic public policies that encourage the responsible exploration, development and production of natural gas and oil to meet the needs of consumers and fuel our economy.
2011 Policy Maker Field Trip a Great Success
We toured sites of all phases of the upstream operations in the Barnett Shale in August. We saw operations on properties owned by Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy, EOG Resources and XTO Energy. The AXPC Policy Maker Field trip has been a unique annual event for fifteen years.
We are well underway with the planning for our 2012 trip which will be August 6-8 this year. We will be touring operations of Anadarko Petroleum, Chesapeake Energy, Devon Energy and Seneca Resources in the emerging Utica Shale play in eastern Ohio.
