AXPC is a national trade association representing 34 of America's premier independent natural gas and oil exploration and production companies.
The operations of our members are limited to the exploration for and production of natural gas and oil. Our members are independent in that they operate autonomously unlike their fully integrated counterparts which also operate in additional segments of the energy business such as downstream refining and marketing.
The Mission of AXPC is to constuctively and thoughtfully work for sound energy, environmental; and related domestic public policies that encourage the responsible exploration, development and production of natural gas and oil to meet the needs of consumers and fuel our economy.
2014 Policymaker Field Trip Tours Oklahoma's SCOOP Play
AXPC hosted its 2014 Policymaker Field Trip on August 4-7. Congressional and Agency staffers were able to see all phases of upstream oil & gas operations in the SCOOP Play in Central Oklahoma. Our guests were able to see these operations courtesy of AXPC member companies, Continental Resources, Devon Energy and Newfield Exploration.
In addition to an extensive look at all phases of operations in the field, the group received a briefing on the Oklahoma's extensive regulatory regime for oil & gas operations as well as learning about the critical pipeline infrastructure facilities at Cushing, Oklahoma.
The photos above and below show members of our group at the drilling, completion, production and water recycling facilities the group toured.
The AXPC Policymaker Field Trip has been an unique annual event for almost 20 years and continues to be the most effective demonstration of our industry's unmatched efforts at conducting operations in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
Congressional or Agency staff interested in attending the 2015 Field Trip should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for additional details.
